 The International Fur Federation (IFF) has launched their latest project – IFF SUPPORTERS GROUP. The platform helps build a solid large global network of supporters and connections which the IFF can draw upon to help campaign and sign online petitions, as we did with the California fur ban, for example. Registered organisations will also be able to join their local national associations.

The IFF registered Supporters Group have access to an online news and multimedia hub (members.wearefur.com) which can help them with their businesses and is made up of five sections: News, Fashion Library, Tutorials and Webinars, Events and FURMARK & Sustainability. Under each section, Supporters have access to free content curated and produced for them to use in a number of ways.

The current benefits available for Supporters to use include:

1.       FUR NEWS: a curated selection of up to date news stories relating to all areas of the fur trade.

2.       FASHION LIBRARY: a comprehensive Library comprised of hundreds of fashion images and videos which Supporters can use online, on social media, in print and digital.

3.       TUTORIALS AND WEBINARS:  Informative and educational short tutorials on topics ranging in complexity from 『Keeping your Facebook and Instagram business pages safe』 to 『working with different media or influencers in your market』.

4.       EVENTS: upcoming events including fur inspections and auctions, fashion and sustainability conferences, fashion weeks, etc.

5.       FURMARK & SUSTAINABILITY: Step-by-step FURMARK guides about how the global certification and traceability program works. And as the program develops, more tutorials and guides will be added keeping Supporters updated.

More benefits will be added and rolled out as they become available in the near future.

Speaking about IFFs Supporters Group, IFF CEO Mark oaten said:

This way, we can pass on news and information about FURMARK and other projects to them, and in return, form a global fur family we can call on for support. These supporters won』t have any voting rights and our current membership structure will not change. It』s hoped Supporters will also consider joining local member associations.」
