ASIA REMIX Design Awards by IFF
This lux urban werewolf look by Taiwan's Tommy Tang was advanced to the position of menswear finalist.
The winner of the womenswear category, Liu Chunchen from Japan, received $10,000.
Alexander King Chen
Alexander King Chen's collection dug keep in the concept and astounded the audience. The runway became a performance space. Chen says this show was inspired by war and the people that remain suffering after war has ravaged their home.
The models did not walk but scoured the stage, each with a distinct role to play, each a creature of Chen's imagination. The intense tonal music converted the catwalk into an emotional experience, a 10 minute opera with a lot of fur.
Taiwan designer Linda Yang also received a special feature. Her look added fur to accessories instead of garments, such as on purses, necklaces, and bracelets.
